Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Name and contact information
- Business information
- Messages you send us through the contact form
- Basic, anonymised website usage data
2. The Contact Form
When you fill in the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, trade, location and the message you write. If you tick the marketing box, we also record that you agreed to it.
We use this to reply to your enquiry and to build you a demo website. This is our legitimate interest in responding to people who ask us for a demo.
Marketing email is different. We only email you about offers or updates if you tick the consent box. You can withdraw this at any time by replying to any email from us and asking us to stop.
We keep contact form submissions for 12 months, then delete them, unless you become a customer, in which case your details become part of your customer record under our Terms of Service.
3. Advertising and Attribution
We run paid adverts, for example on Meta, to bring tradespeople to this site. We record which advert or link brought you here, so we can judge whether the advert is worth its cost.
What we record: the campaign parameters in the link you clicked (often called UTM parameters), a Meta or Google click reference if your link had one (fbclid or gclid), the page you landed on, and the page that referred you. We store this in a first party cookie and in your browser's storage on this device, and again in our database if you submit the contact form.
We use the Meta Pixel on levelledup.co.uk. When it is switched on, it sets cookies in your browser (listed below) and we also send a Lead event, and a Purchase event if you become a customer, from our server to Meta. Those events include your email address and phone number only if you ticked the marketing box, and only after we have hashed them. Hashing turns your email and number into a scrambled code that Meta cannot turn back into the original value.
Our lawful basis for the Meta Pixel cookies is your consent. Our lawful basis for recording the campaign parameters, click reference, landing page and referrer ourselves is legitimate interest: we need this to judge whether an advert is worth its cost.
The Pixel stays switched off until this site has a cookie control that asks for your consent first. Once it is on, you can stop it by refusing cookies in that control, in your browser settings, with a tracker blocker, or through Meta's own ad settings at facebook.com/adpreferences/ad_settings.
4. Cookies We Use
These are the cookies this site can set:
- _fbp: set by the Meta Pixel, when switched on, to identify your browser to Meta's advertising systems
- _fbc: set by the Meta Pixel, when switched on, to record the Meta click reference that brought you here
- lu_attribution: set by levelledup.co.uk to remember which advert or link brought you here, for up to 24 hours, so credit survives if you browse before contacting us
5. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your enquiries and build your mockup
- Provide and maintain your website, domain and email if you become a customer
- Send you important service updates
- Improve this website
6. Information Sharing
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with the service providers who help us operate, for example hosting and email providers, and with law enforcement when required by law. If the Meta Pixel is switched on, we also share your hashed email and phone number with Meta, for the advertising attribution described in section 3.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Opt out of marketing communications
